The Blue Mountain Review
Submissions for poetry: Any style is accepted. Any length is accepted. Please submit only three poems per issue.
Submissions for fiction: Please limit your prose to no more than 2,500 words. Send only one prose piece per issue. | Please limit your micro fiction to 1-to-3 pieces per issue, 300 words per story. | Please limit your essay to no more than 2,500 words. Send only one piece per issue.
Please note: In addition to your submission, you will be required to include a cover letter and short, third-person bio.
Additional Guidelines:
♦ All text needs to be in 12-point Georgia font;
♦ All titles must be in bold (standard capitalization);
♦ All poems in one document, one poem per page;
♦ Please no addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, etc.

Submission Guidelines
If you have a poetry manuscript, we want to read it!
Before submitting to us, we strongly recommend that you take the time to familiarize yourself with our magazine, to make sure that your work will be compatible with our readership. Please review our additional guidelines below:
- Must include a synopsis, target audience, and 10 pages of poetry
- Outline any marketing and/or promotional ideas you've gathered/implemented
- Must be typed, Georgia font, 12 pt., double-spaced, and be no more than 100 pages
- Must ensure that all poems are left-aligned with one poem per page
- Must have your name and contact details as well as any relevant information about you as the author
- Must pay the $25 fee for submission
- Must use Submittable and send in manuscript as a .docx file or PDF

If you have a short story collection, in either fiction or non-fiction, we want to read it! If you have an essay collection, you are encouraged to send that in, as well!
